GuliKit has officially teased the upcoming launch of its Elves 2 Pro controller, exciting fans who have been waiting for months. The company showed a prototype of the Elves 2 controller during Gamescom 2024 in Cologne, Germany. Along with it, GuliKit also displayed a new Libra MAX model, which caught a lot of attention.

Gamers have been asking for more third-party controllers with a symmetrical layout that do not follow the usual PlayStation style. GuliKit’s Elves series seems to take some design ideas from Sega’s old Saturn controllers. When final-looking prototypes were shown last August, many thought the controller would release soon after. There were even Amazon listings showing a late January release date, but that timeline was missed, making fans more impatient.

Now, GuliKit’s social media has confirmed that the Elves 2 Pro controller will finally launch in May. It will come in two colours: white and black. The brand is promoting it as a controller with “retro looks” but “pro performance.” However, GuliKit has not yet updated its official website with a full product page for the Elves 2 Pro.

Based on the teasers, the Elves 2 Pro will include many modern features. It will have Hall Effect sticks that help avoid joystick drift, maglev vibration for better feedback, and both wired and Bluetooth connectivity. It will also pack a small internal battery that can last up to 20 hours on a single charge.
Importantly, the Elves 2 Pro will support multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PCs, iOS devices, and Android phones. Its D-pad design looks especially good for fans of Fightpad-style controllers. Many gamers have compared it to the popular 8Bitdo M30 controller, which also took inspiration from Sega’s older systems, but the Elves 2 Pro will include modern analogue sticks, offering even more flexibility for today’s games.
