ArenaNet has revealed the first three elite specs for Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity. These are Troubadour for Mesmer, Galeshot for Ranger, and Luminary for Guardian. Each one brings a fresh style and new mechanics for veteran players.
What’s in the kit
Troubadour swaps out Mesmer clones for sound-based magic. You’ll play magical instruments that hit enemies or support allies. It’s a full shift from illusions to sound waves.
Galeshot uses wind magic and tengu archery. Rangers can fire storm-charged arrows and control space with whirlwinds and gusts.
Luminary is a Guardian wrapped in fire and light. It comes with the Radiant Shroud and four flaming weapons, each giving passive effects and alternate skills.

Beta dates and full launch
The first beta test runs August 20–27. It’s open to all players. The expansion launches October 28.
Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity will also include:
- Four new zones (two at launch, two added later)
- A full story in the Castora region
- Skimmer mount upgrades
- Two raid bosses and a new Fractal
- A public Convergence event
- New gear, relics, and legendary items
More elite specs are coming soon.
