Sony and Sucker Punch Productions shared over 20 minutes of Ghost of Yotei gameplay during a new State of Play. Alongside it, they revealed two Limited Edition PlayStation 5 console bundles.
Both are inspired by Japanese art styles and will be released with the game on 2 October.
Ghost of Yotei PS5 Limited Edition bundles
The Gold Edition bundle is available globally. It’s based on kintsugi, the Japanese method of repairing broken pottery with gold. The console shows golden cracks and features Mount Yotei in the centre. The DualSense controller shows a silhouette of Atsu on the touchpad.
The Black Edition bundle is only available at PlayStation Direct. This one is based on Sumi-e, a traditional ink painting style. The black brushstrokes depict the landscape of Ezo and Atsu’s inner journey. It also includes a matching controller.
Both versions come with:
- A limited edition PS5 with disc drive
- A matching DualSense controller
- A digital copy of Ghost of Yotei (Standard Edition)
- Pre-order bonus mask and 7 PSN avatars

Already own a PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro? You can buy the Gold Edition console covers separately. They’ll be available from PlayStation Direct and select stores.
Both Gold and Black DualSense controllers will be sold alone too. The Gold one is available globally. The Black one is exclusive to PlayStation Direct and some stores in Japan.
Designs rooted in the game
Sucker Punch said the design reflects key parts of Atsu’s journey. The gold cracks match her mask. The ink art reflects her paintings. Mount Yotei ties the theme together.
“We used the game’s focus on exploration and Atsu’s personal touches,” said Jason Connell, creative director. “Everything was chosen with care.”
Launching October 2
Ghost of Yotei launches on 2 October. These bundles and accessories will be released on the same day. Pre-orders will go live soon.
