Arc Games and Snapshot Games have announced Frosthaven, a dark fantasy tactical RPG based on the acclaimed board game. It’s heading to PC via Steam in Early Access in 2025, with a closed beta playtest running from March 27 to April 24. If you’re eager to dive in early, sign-ups are available now.

A digital evolution of a board game legend

Designed by Isaac Childres, Frosthaven builds on the legacy of Gloomhaven, bringing its deep strategy, tough choices, and rewarding combat to digital form. Whether you’re a veteran of the board game or stepping in for the first time, there’s something for you. Newcomers get adjustable difficulty settings, while experienced players can test their skills in an unforgiving northern frontier filled with treacherous enemies.

This version isn’t just a direct adaptation—it expands the experience with new character classes, improved mechanics, and quality-of-life upgrades. Every choice matters, from how you fight to how you manage resources in a harsh, ever-changing world.
