FragPunk is finally landing on consoles. After missing its original launch window, the five-versus-five hero shooter will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox from April 29, as announced by Bad Guitar Studio.
FragPunk launch date trailer
Fragpunk first launched on PC via Steam on March 6, quickly making waves thanks to its flashy visuals, unique Shard Card system, and high-stakes, strategy-driven matches. It pulled in over 110,000 concurrent players at its peak—not bad for a free-to-play title.

The console version of Fragpunk was delayed at the last minute for optimisation, but that wait is being put to good use. Controller performance has been fine-tuned, visuals have been upgraded, and yes, it’s launching with full cross-play and cross-progression support with PC. You’ll be able to jump between platforms without losing progress.

To say thanks for waiting, console players are getting some solid perks. Time-limited rewards from Season 1 are still up for grabs until launch day, and if you grabbed the Pioneer Bundle on console early, extra gifts will be waiting for you post-launch.
Here’s what stands out for console players:
- Cross-play and cross-progression with PC
- Enhanced aim assist to keep gameplay smooth and balanced
- Fully optimised controls for competitive controller play

More info on how cross-platform features work will drop before launch. But for now, if you’ve been holding out for the console version, April 29 is your green light.
