FORMAT is back, and this year’s Halloween takeover of Liverpool is set to be the biggest yet. From 29th to 31st October, Europe’s leading gaming nightlife event transforms the city into a three-day celebration of games, music, and community, with the main event taking place at Camp and Furnace on October 30th.
We had a blast at last year’s FORMAT, and we’re excited to see some familiar faces returning, including one of our personal favourites, The Nerd Violinist, who’ll once again be filling the venue with spine-tingling live renditions of gaming classics.
Here’s the breakdown of what is going on:
Day 1 – RE:FORMAT Industry Summit
Kicking things off, FORMAT has teamed up with Liverpool Game Dev Network to host Games Tech Connect, a day-long summit at Ropewalks Hotel. Expect fireside talks, pitch deck reviews, and expert panels with leading names like Firesprite, Exient, Brabners, Scenegraph Studios, Secret Mode, and more. The day rounds off with a mixer for those who want to keep the conversations flowing.
Day 2 – FORMATGG: The Ultimate Gaming Social
The heart of FORMAT returns to Camp and Furnace for a Halloween warehouse party like no other. With exhibitors including Wired Productions, Lucky Mountain Games, Team Terrible, Galactic Crows, IMPRNT Studios, and Arcade Club, the venue will be packed with games to play, developers to meet, and creators to watch.
The Kuoda VIP Lounge makes its comeback too, transforming into a live-streaming hub for content creators. Plus, food, drinks, charity raffles, and the FORMAT fashion pop-up will keep the atmosphere buzzing.
And of course, the music lineup is stacked, from Dubtendo Allstars headlining with their high-energy VGM remixes, to live performances from Broken Englizh, Kingxton, Charlie Rouxbrough, and a full roster of DJs covering everything from R&B to techno.
Day 3 – After Party
FORMAT wraps up with a closing afterparty in collaboration with Timeless Gaming Convention, bringing the celebration to a fitting end.
