Eternal Evil, the blood-drenched survival horror first-person shooter from Axyos Games and Honor Games, is finally clawing its way onto PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles on 30 May 2025. After making its PC debut back in November 2022, console players will soon get their chance to step into this unrelenting nightmare, and it’s not going to hold back.

Old-school terror with modern brutality

Eternal Evil is a love letter to the golden age of survival horror. Think tight corridors, scarce supplies, and enemies that don’t go down easily. It blends nostalgic gameplay with modern tech, offering physics-based dismemberment, realistic gunplay, and a grim atmosphere that never lets up.

You’re dropped into a city teeming with the undead. You’re alone, under-equipped, and every step forward means another risk. Resources are limited. Enemies mutate. And your only friends are a handful of bullets and your instincts.

What to expect in Eternal Evil

If you’re coming in fresh, here’s what makes Eternal Evil tick:

  • Classic survival horror gameplay – No tutorials, no shortcuts. Just pure tension, punishing difficulty, and exploration-heavy progression.
  • Tactical gunplay – The combat system is more than just point and shoot. You’ll need to aim precisely, conserve ammo, and use the game’s brutal dismemberment system to gain the upper hand.
  • Exploration and puzzles – The city’s layout is interconnected and packed with secrets. Expect locked doors, hidden rooms, and plenty of classic puzzle-solving moments.
  • Inventory pressure – Healing, ammo, and tools are hard to come by. Managing your bag could be the difference between life and a horrifying death.
  • Evolving threats – Enemies don’t just shamble at you, they stalk, change, and hit hard. Every encounter is designed to be a fight for survival.
