Endless Legend 2 fans can finally get a taste of the long-awaited sequel – but only for a week. Amplitude Studios has dropped a free, time-limited demo on Steam, giving players a chance to dive into its 4X fantasy strategy before the full early access launch. You can check out its official demo trailer below.

The catch here is that the demo vanishes on 18 August. That’s ahead of the game’s new early access date, which was pushed from 7 August to 22 September. The studio says the delay is all about polish -improving onboarding, smoothing out the early-game, fixing balance, and refining localisation.

The demo itself isn’t bare-bones. You can pick between two factions – the Kin of Sheredyn and the Aspects – and go up against the Necrophage. There are around 90 turns to play through, two world-shaping Tidefalls, and 15 minor factions to discover.

Amplitude is actively asking for feedback on everything from the tutorial to bugs and localisation. This is the first Endless Legend title since the studio split from Sega in late 2024, and it’s set in the oceanic world of Saiadha, where diverse factions clash and cataclysmic events reshape the planet.

If you’ve been waiting over a decade for the next Endless Legend, this is your week to jump in.
