LINE Games has officially announced Ember and Blade, a Survivors-like roguelike action game heading to PC via Steam in 2025. And from the looks of it, this one will be a chaotic mix of strategy, storytelling, and straight-up stylish carnage.

Ember and Blade reveal trailer

In Ember and Blade, you play as Fenrix, a demon hunter with a temporary immortality contract (yes, temporary) granted by an angel. Thrown into a world where the archdemon Asmodeus lies sealed, Fenrix meets Ariella—a sorceress who’s held the line solo for the past 500 years. Naturally, fate isn’t about to leave things simple. As the story unfolds, you’ll dive into a tragic cycle of death, resurrection, and lore-heavy chaos.

Combat promises to be punchy and polished, with plenty of unique weapons and playstyles to experiment with as you fight off relentless demon waves. Boss fights look especially intense—twisted demons who were once human judges of fate now stand in your way, each demanding precise timing and smart tactics. And if that sounds overwhelming, don’t worry—the angels have your back with “Celestial Blessings,” quirky buffs that stack into powerful synergies.

Ember and Blade - Fenrix figthing against a horde of demons

Visually, Ember and Blade lean into bold palettes and stylish effects that make every fight look like a painting mid-explosion. Between the layered narrative, high-impact action, and mysterious worldbuilding, this one looks like it’s got a lot more going on beneath the surface than your average horde survival game.
