Elden Ring Nightreign is off to a blazing start. Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have confirmed that worldwide shipments and digital sales for the new title have already topped 3.5 million units.
The game dropped on 30 May for PlayStation 5, Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam, and it didn’t take long to rack up impressive numbers. Over 2 million copies were sold within the first 24 hours. That’s a major feat, especially for a game that dares to do things differently while staying true to the soul-crushing magic of Elden Ring.

What’s next for Nightfarers?
The momentum isn’t stopping anytime soon. A major Nightreign downloadable content pack is slated for release later in 2025. But that’s not all. FromSoftware has confirmed that more updates will roll out before the DLC lands.
Enhanced fights against existing Nightlords are coming this month, bringing tougher, more cinematic versions of those already-intense boss battles. Down the line, we’ll also see “Duo Expeditions” new cooperative challenges that promise to shake things up even further.
