EA Sports FC 26 wants to finally fix gameplay and it’s giving players real choices this time

EA Sports FC 26 is changing how the game plays. EA says it’s focused on fixing gameplay.

There are now two styles: Competitive and Authentic.

Two new styles in FC 26

Competitive is for online. It’s faster and more responsive.
Authentic is for offline. It’s slower and more realistic.

You can switch between them anytime.

Core gameplay has been changed, tackling, shooting, passing, pace, saves, agility, and more.

Competitive mode is built on responsiveness, consistency, and control.
Authentic is focused on simulation.

In the video, EA reads player complaints and responds with, “We made it better.”

EA Sports FC 26 launches 26 September 2025 on PS5, Xbox, PC, and both Switch consoles.
