Techland has delayed Dying Light: The Beast by four weeks. The new release date is 19 September 2025, pushed back from the original 22 August launch.
The team says the delay will be used to polish the game. That includes gameplay balance, UI clarity, physics, cutscenes, and animations.

“We’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19 to allow for extra polishing work,” Techland said. “We can address final details that make all the difference between good and great.”
It’s a cautious move, especially after the rough launch of Dying Light 2. That game improved over time, but the early feedback wasn’t great, and Techland doesn’t want a repeat.

The game will be playable at Gamescom in Hall 6. A new dev diary is also coming next week, focusing on gore design and narrated by Bober the Beaver.
