The early access launch for Descenders Next has been pushed back, as RageSquid and No More Robots take time to implement changes based on player feedback. Following a live session demo of the extreme sports game, where over 60,000 players jumped in, the devs were blown away by the response and are now working on key improvements before release.

The team acknowledged that while Descenders Next is shaping up well, some tweaks are needed to make it the ultimate Descenders experience. Among the top-requested features being worked on are key bindings, a first-person camera, and the return of Enemy, Kinetic, and Arboreal. However, other areas will take longer to refine, prompting a delay to ensure everything feels right at launch.
There’s no new release date just yet, but the devs assure fans they won’t have to wait too long. With a little more time in the oven, Descenders Next aims to hit early access in the best possible shape. Stay tuned for updates, and in the meantime, get ready for an improved ride when it finally drops.
