Dead Reset, a new FMV horror game from Wales Interactive, Dark Rift Horror, and Northern Film, is launching on 11 September 2025. It’s coming to PC, PS4 | 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
You play as Cole, a surgeon stuck in a time loop. Each time he dies, he wakes up at the same moment, right before performing surgery on a patient with something lodged in their abdomen. The loop restarts on death, and the trailer suggests each death is more brutal than the last.
A return to horror roots with Dead Reset
This is the 17th FMV title from Wales Interactive since 2016. The studio has worked across genres, from survival shooters to VR and roguelike deckbuilders, but horror has been a consistent theme.
Despite the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, there’s no version confirmed for the new console. Like many other studios, Wales Interactive reportedly hasn’t received a dev kit yet.
Dead Reset looks to build on the studio’s FMV legacy with a darker, more violent twist.
