Indie publisher Brain Seal has announced Dark Quest 4, the next entry in the beloved dungeon-crawling series. Inspired by classic board games like Hero Quest, Descent, and Dungeon Saga, this turn-based RPG aims to bring the magic of tabletop adventures to life.

Launching this fall on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, Dark Quest 4 blends deep strategy with an immersive, handcrafted campaign. Players build a party of three heroes and embark on epic quests, all set in a visually striking world designed to feel like a living board game.

With animated figurines, charming visuals, and a fully voiced dungeon master played by the sorcerer himself, the game captures the spirit of classic dungeon crawlers. Solo players can experience the adventure alone or team up with two friends for co-op dungeon runs.

Argi Baltzi, Game Director said;

Dark Quest 4 is the game I dreamed of playing as a kid, one where your imagination leads the way, every quest feels personal, and the table comes alive before your eyes.”

Dark Quest 4 key features:

  • 30+ hours of handcrafted content – A rich campaign with unique quests and challenges.
  • Co-op for up to 3 players – Tackle dungeons solo or with friends.
  • Turn-based tactical combat – Position your heroes carefully in grid-based battles.
  • Level editor & Steam Workshop integration – Create custom quests and explore community content.
  • Tabletop aesthetics with animated figurines – A visual style that feels like a physical board game.
  • Voiced dungeon master – The sorcerer guides the adventure with narration and atmosphere.

With its mix of nostalgia and fresh ideas, Dark Quest 4 aims to deliver a true board game experience in digital form.
