Publisher Nacon and developer Big Bad Wolf Studio have announced Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, a first-person investigative horror adventure set in the depths of the Pacific Ocean. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam) in 2026 and is powered by Unreal Engine 5, promising an intense Lovecraftian experience that challenges the limits of sanity.

The year is 2053, and humanity is on the brink of extinction. As corporations push deeper into the ocean in search of dwindling resources, they awaken something that was never meant to be disturbed. You play as Noah, an agent of Ancile, a secret division of Interpol dedicated to investigating occult threats. Sent to R’lyeh, the legendary sunken city, your mission is to uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of miners.
