Bloober Team has quietly released a playable demo for Cronos: The New Dawn on PC, giving horror fans a look at what’s one of the genre’s most exciting new entries.

Cronos: The New Dawn PC demo now available

The demo drops you straight into the boots of the Traveler, a lone explorer searching for a missing predecessor in a bleak, post-apocalyptic world. It walks you through the basics, combat, exploration, and the unsettling merge mechanic that sees enemies twist and fuse into something far worse. It’s creepy, tense, and incredibly atmospheric from the start.

The best part is you can replay the demo as much as you like, experimenting with weapons and uncovering more of the dark world Bloober has built.

Even in this short slice, Cronos: The New Dawn feels polished and confident. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it looks stunning but will test your hardware. There’s even a surprisingly soft moment or two, where you can pet cats between the chaos.

If Dead Space is your thing, this is one demo you shouldn’t skip.
