Cronos: The New Dawn is coming this fall to PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam, and it’s already shaping up to be something special. Developed by Bloober Team, the game blends survival horror with time travel, throwing players into a brutal world split between a grim future and 1980s Poland.
You play as a Traveler, an agent working under a secretive group known as the Collective. Your mission is to move between timelines, pulling people out of disaster before they’re lost forever. But nothing comes easy in this world. Every step forward is met with chaos, twisted creatures, and the constant risk of being overwhelmed.
The horrors of Cronos run deeper than time
A new trailer gives a proper look at the Orphans, the main enemies in Cronos: The New Dawn. These aren’t just monsters, they’re terrifying, body-horror nightmares that come at you fast and won’t back off. Their behaviour is brutal, always on the attack, always pushing forward.
But there’s a twist that changes everything. Killing one isn’t enough. If you don’t burn their bodies, other Orphans can absorb them and merge. When that happens, they become faster, stronger, and even harder to deal with. This mechanic adds real weight to every encounter; you can’t afford to be careless, and you can’t afford to wait.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of what it’s like inside the Orphans’ nest. It’s dark, claustrophobic, and every corner feels like a trap. It’s clear that survival isn’t just about skill; it’s about staying alert and not panicking when things go south.

Two timelines, one haunting journey
One of the most unique things about Cronos: The New Dawn is its setting. The story jumps between a decaying sci-fi future and a warped version of 1980s Nowa Huta, a real district in Kraków. This mix of old-world architecture and broken, futuristic tech gives the game a very grounded, very real sense of horror.
It’s not just visual either. The world tells a story through every ruined building and strange anomaly. The trailer even hints at another Traveler ND 3500 whose logs seem to hold clues about the world, the enemies, and maybe even your own fate.

Cronos: The New Dawn looks like a game built for fans of deep, atmospheric horror, especially if you liked titles such as The Medium, Returnal, or the classic Silent Hill games. It’s raw, tense, and dripping with dread.
The game is due to release this autumn on PS5, Xbox, and Steam. You can wishlist it now or follow Bloober Team for more updates as the launch gets closer.
