Control: Resonant is finally real. Remedy Entertainment confirmed the new entry at The Game Awards 2025. Fans had expected it after a trademark popped up weeks ago. Now it’s official. And it lands in 2026.
The Control series is still young. The first game launched in 2019 and quickly earned huge praise. It followed Jesse Faden as she explored the strange Oldest House. It was weird, bold, and unforgettable. A spinoff, FBC: Firebreak, dropped in 2025 but didn’t hit the same mark. Even so, players have been waiting for Jesse’s story to continue.

The reveal trailer delivered a lot. It opened with a floating figure on stage, then cut into fast shots of gameplay and cinematics. This time, the Oldest House seems to have leaked into New York. Streets twist. Objects float. Reality bends. It looks wild, even for Control.
A new protagonist appears to take the lead. But Jesse is still there. Her voice echoes near the end. She also appears on screen for a moment. That small tease alone will get fans talking.
Control: Resonant looks more action-heavy than the first game. There’s swordplay. Open-air combat. Faster movement. But it still carries that strong Remedy Entertainment energy. Strange. Stylish. Confident.

With a 2026 launch window, the wait won’t be long. Fans of the series finally have something big to look forward to.
