Bandai Namco has confirmed that Code Vein II is in development and will release in 2026. The action RPG is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam. It’s a full return to the post-apocalyptic world of Revenants, now facing a new and deadly threat.
This time, you’re not just fighting to survive, you’re fighting to rewrite the past.
Two timelines. One world on the brink.
Code Vein II takes place in a future where the world has nearly fallen. Revenant beings who survive by consuming blood now face a growing horror. A strange force known as the Luna Rapacis has pushed many Revenants into madness, turning them into dangerous monsters called Horrors.
You step into the role of a Revenant Hunter, teamed with Lou, a mysterious girl who holds the power to travel through time. With her help, you’ll dive into the past to change key moments in history. These choices affect not just individuals but the fate of the entire world.
You’ll explore a world split across two eras, unlocking forgotten truths and shaping the story with every step.

Combat made to test your skill
Battles in Code Vein II are intense, fast, and tactical. You’ll need to read enemy movements, manage stamina, and react quickly. Enemies drop blood when defeated, which fuels your special abilities. With Blood Codes, you can swap builds and strategies depending on the situation.
A new weapon system, Jails, adds more variety to the way you fight. Whether you prefer close-range power or long-range finesse, there’s freedom to play your way.
Customisation is deeper than before. You can build your character with different weapons, skills, and passive bonuses to suit your combat style.

Not alone in the fight
You’re not going through this alone. The game reintroduces the Partner system, allowing you to team up with powerful allies during exploration and combat. Each partner has their backstory, abilities, and connection to the larger narrative. They help you in battle, but they also shape your journey with unique dialogue and emotional weight.

What makes Code Vein II special?
- Story across time – Explore both the present and the past to stop the collapse of the world.
- Tense, rewarding battles – Learn enemy patterns and survive deadly encounters.
- Blood-based powers – Use blood to trigger skills and adapt your build in real time.
- Stronger partners – Form bonds with characters who grow alongside you.

Code Vein II is shaping up to be a more in-depth and personal story than the original. With sharper combat, better customisation, and a time-travel twist, this sequel could easily become a must-play for fans of anime-style action RPGs.
