Battlefield 6 just got a fresh shake-up with the Season 2 Nightfall update, now live. It is a smaller drop on paper, but the focus this time is clear: tighter fights, less visibility, and more tension.
The big addition is Hagental Base. This map moves away from wide spaces and instead pushes players into narrow corridors. It feels built for fast reactions and short-range fights rather than long-distance play.
The new Nightfall limited-time mode takes things even further.

Nightfall throws players into near total darkness. You rely on night vision goggles just to move around. It slows things down at first, but once gunfire starts, it turns messy very quickly.
Two new weapons join the mix: the CZ3A1 SMG and the VC.61 automatic sidearm. Both are clearly aimed at close combat.
Recon players also get a drone, which becomes very useful when you can barely see. Thermal optics and flashlights help, too, but laser sights can easily expose your position.

There is also a new motorcycle, adding quicker movement options across certain parts of the map.
Battlefield 6 Season 2 had a delayed start, and players were already getting restless. This update feels like a step in the right direction for EA and Battlefield Studios as they try to keep the momentum going.
