The handheld PC market just got more interesting. Ayaneo has officially launched its newest Windows gaming device, the Ayaneo Next 2. This model takes over from the original Ayaneo Next and brings clear upgrades in size, power, and overall feel.

One of the biggest changes is the screen. The Ayaneo Next 2 uses a large 9.06-inch OLED display with a sharp 2400 × 1504 resolution. Players can switch between 60 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and 165 Hz depending on the game or task. The screen gets very bright, reaching up to 1155 nits, and covers the full DCI-P3 colour range, making games look rich and lively.

Performance is where the Next 2 really stands out. Ayaneo is offering the handheld with AMD’s new Ryzen AI Max series processors. Buyers can choose the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 or the Ryzen AI Max 385. The top model features 16 cores and 32 threads and is built on AMD’s Zen 5 design. It can boost up to 5.1 GHz, giving the handheld enough power to handle demanding PC games.

The integrated Radeon 8060S GPU takes care of graphics. Built on RDNA 3.5, it includes 40 compute units and runs at speeds up to 2.9 GHz. This setup should deliver smooth gameplay for modern titles. The processor also includes an AI unit that can reach up to 126 TOPS, opening the door for future AI-based features.

To keep things cool, Ayaneo has added a dual-fan cooling system with two exhaust vents. This helps maintain stable performance during long gaming sessions. The device is backed by a large 116 Wh battery, which is much bigger than what most handheld gaming PCs offer.
Controls have also been given serious attention. The Next 2 comes with adjustable TMR joysticks, Hall-effect triggers with lock options, an eight-way D-pad, two touchpads, four rear buttons, and extra programmable keys. This makes it suitable not just for games, but also for Windows navigation and creative work.
On the connectivity side, the handheld includes two USB4 ports with support for high-speed data and DisplayPort 1.4 for external displays. There is also a microSD card slot, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4.
Ayaneo Next 2 pricing and availability
The Ayaneo Next 2 starts at USD 1,799. Pre-orders will open soon on Indiegogo, and shipping is expected to begin in June 2026. Multiple versions will be available, offering different RAM and storage options for users who want more power or space.
With its large OLED screen, cutting-edge AMD hardware, and premium control layout, the Ayaneo Next 2 positions itself as a high-end Windows handheld built for gamers who want serious performance in a portable form.
