AYANEO has updated its AM01S mini PC with better hardware and a new touchscreen display. Classic computers from the 1980s and 1990s inspire this small computer. The 2025 version of the AM01S now comes with a more powerful AMD Strix Point Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, faster RAM, and improved storage options.
More power and better storage
The AM01S now has DDR5-5600 RAM, which is much faster than older memory types. It also includes an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD, allowing for quick storage and data transfer. If users need more space, there is an SDXC card slot on the side to add extra storage or move files easily.
Improved touchscreen with better usability
One of the biggest changes is the 4-inch touchscreen, which is now a horizontal display. The previous model, the AM02, had a rotated vertical screen, which caused compatibility issues. The new screen is easier to use and supports Windows extended mode, meaning users can control the mini PC directly from the touchscreen. The hinged display can move up to 90 degrees, making it flexible to use in different positions.
Retro design with modern features
The AM01S has a design that looks like an old Macintosh computer, especially when placed upright. It even displays a coloured “hello” text, similar to classic Apple advertisements. While the touchscreen can be used for navigation, it can also display system information, and performance details, or act as a stylish extra screen.
Custom software for better control
AYANEO pre-installs AYASpace v2.5, a special control centre that helps users adjust power settings, monitor performance, and customise their experience. This makes it easier to fine-tune the mini PC according to personal needs.
Price and availability
AYANEO has not yet announced how much the AM01S will cost or when it will be available, but the official launch seems to be happening soon. With its stronger hardware, improved touchscreen, and classic look, the AM01S could be a great choice for users who want a small but powerful mini PC.
