Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is finally getting a proper third-person mode. The update drops on 5 December, which also marks the game’s third anniversary.

That’s not all. The date also lines up with the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third movie in the series, hitting cinemas two weeks later.

The new third-person camera is a big change. Until now, the game was locked in first-person view. Some players skipped it for that reason, especially due to motion sickness.

Now you can switch views at any time. Explore, fight, and fly while seeing your Na’vi in full.

Ubisoft Massive says it rebuilt the animations, controls, audio, and camera to make it smooth and easy to use.

Keep your skills, fight tougher enemies in Avatar

The update also brings New Game+. You keep your inventory and skills, but face stronger enemies.

There’s a new skill tree and better gear too. It’s made for players who want a tougher run through the story.

Creative Director Omar Bouali said:

“This update is a celebration of our community’s passion. We’re thankful for their support—it means the world to our team.”

There’s also a sale. The game is 70% off on Steam until 31 July.

The Gold and Ultimate Editions are also discounted. They include both DLCs: The Sky Breaker and Secrets of the Spires.

If you haven’t played Frontiers of Pandora yet, now might be the time.
