The Epomaker x AULA F108 is a full-sized mechanical keyboard that combines a traditional design with helpful modern features. It comes with a strong build, hot-swappable switches, wireless support, and colourful RGB lighting. The typing feel is smooth, making it a good choice for both gaming and everyday work. While it keeps things simple, it still manages to deliver a well-rounded experience. After testing the AULA F75 Max earlier, we’re now checking out this bigger 100% layout model with interest.
Unboxing
The AULA F108 arrives in a neat box with a sleeve-style outer cover. On the front, there’s the AULA WIND F108 logo and a drawing of the keyboard layout. The back of the sleeve shows basic details in several languages.

Inside, there’s a black cardboard box with Epomaker x AULA printed on it. As soon as you open it, a user manual and quick guide are placed on top to help you get started.

The keyboard is kept safe inside a soft white sleeve to protect it from scratches or damage. In the accessories box, you’ll find a keycap puller, switch puller, four extra switches, and a USB Type-A to Type-C cable.

A closer look
The AULA F108 is a full-sized keyboard that uses the standard ANSI US layout and includes 108 keys.

The keyboard measures 44.3cm x 13.6cm and weighs about 1kg, making it sturdy and reliable on any desk. The keyboard we’re reviewing is the Black Grey (Side-Printed) version. It’s also available in White, Blue, and Black colour options.

The design feels solid, with a black case and grey keycaps that don’t show any top fonts. Between the arrow keys and the navigation cluster, you’ll find a backlit AULA logo and a light strip. Three status lights for Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, and Win Lock are placed near the ESC key.

There’s a four-key row above the numpad for quick access to volume controls and the calculator. These keys can be reprogrammed for other functions, too.

Underneath, there are four rubber feet and two adjustable stands that offer two levels of height adjustment. While the case is made of ABS plastic and doesn’t have a metal plate, it still feels heavy and strong enough to last.

Keycaps and Switches
The AULA F108 comes with high-quality double-shot PBT keycaps that feel smooth and well-made. Our review unit, the Black Grey version, uses side-printed keycaps, meaning the letters are printed on the front side of each key instead of the top. This gives the keyboard a cool and clean look, especially when the RGB lights are off. You won’t see any font from the top, which adds to the keyboard’s stealthy style.
The keycaps use the Cherry profile, so the shape and height feel comfortable while typing. The side-printed design used to be rare, but now it’s more common, yet it still feels special here.

For the switches, you get LEOBOG Graywood V3 mechanical switches. These are linear switches, which means they press smoothly without a bump or click. They are factory lubed, so they feel soft and quick right out of the box. The switches have a 40g actuation force and bottom out at around 53g, making them light but not too light — great for both fast typing and gaming.
These switches use 5-pin design, and the board is hot-swappable, so you can easily replace switches without soldering if you want to customise later.

RGB lighting
The AULA F108 has bright and colourful RGB lighting that looks great, especially with the side-printed keycaps on the Black Grey version. The letters glow from the sides, and the south-facing LEDs help the lights shine clearly without being blocked by the switches.

Along with the main key lighting, the keyboard also has two glowing light strips on the left and right sides. These give a cool underglow effect and add more style to the keyboard on your desk.
You can easily change the lighting modes using keyboard shortcuts, and the lighting effects include waves, breathing, rainbow, static colours and more. Everything feels smooth and bright, even in a dark room.

Overall, the RGB lights do a great job of making the keys easy to see and giving the board a modern and fun look.
Battery and Connectivity
The AULA F108 comes with a 4000mAh battery, which is the same size as often seen in smaller keyboards. Even though this keyboard is full-sized with more keys and more RGB lights, the battery still offers a decent usage time. According to the brand, you can expect up to 200 hours of use on a single charge, depending on how bright the RGB lights are.
For connectivity, the keyboard supports both wired and wireless modes. You can use the included USB Type-A to Type-C cable for a stable wired connection, or switch to Bluetooth when you want to go wireless. The wireless mode is useful if you like a clean and cable-free desk setup.
Switching between modes is simple, and we didn’t notice any lag while typing over Bluetooth. It also supports multiple device switching, making it good for users who work across more than one device.

Software
The Epomaker x AULA F108 works with the official AULA software, which lets you customise the keyboard to your liking. Inside the software, you can easily change RGB lighting effects, reassign keys, and set up macros.
We found the software interface simple and easy to understand. You can pick from many lighting patterns or create your own. It’s also possible to save your own settings directly to the keyboard, so they stay even if you switch computers.
Another nice feature is the ability to change what the four special keys above the numpad do. You can use them for volume, calculator, or anything else you want — like launching apps or inserting shortcuts.
Although the software doesn’t offer advanced options like some high-end brands, it covers all the basics and works well for most users. It’s a handy tool for getting the most out of the keyboard.

AULA F108 user experience
I’ve been looking for a full-size keyboard for a long time. I did check out the Epomaker TH99, which seemed good, but it didn’t fully match what I needed. Then I found the Epomaker x AULA F108, and it felt just right. There’s also a F108 Pro version with a knob, which adds more control if that’s something you prefer. I’ve been using the regular F108, and the experience has been great. It has all the keys I need, and it works well both for daily tasks and gaming. The typing sound is really nice too—quiet and smooth, which I enjoy a lot.
One thing that stood out during our experience with AULA F108 was the battery. While the 4000mAh battery holds up for casual use, it feels a bit small for a full-sized keyboard with so many LEDs. We’ve recently reviewed 99% layout keyboards that pack 8000mAh batteries, so this felt like a downgrade in comparison.

Final thoughts on the AULA F108
The Epomaker x AULA F108 is a solid option for those who want a full-size keyboard with a clean look, side-printed keycaps, and smooth linear switches. It doesn’t have fancy extras like knobs or screens, but it makes up for that with useful features like wireless support, bright RGB lighting, and hot-swappable switches. The build feels strong, the typing is smooth, and the side-printed keycaps add a nice touch of style.
For those who prefer a full layout with a numpad and don’t mind a bit more desk space, the AULA F108 delivers both in performance and design. If you liked the AULA F75 Max, this model brings a similar quality but with more keys and a classic form. It’s simple, stylish, and reliable—great for both daily tasks and long gaming sessions.
