A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei is another Chinese action RPG that already looks and feels like a full AAA project.
The game is developed by Chengdu Cangmo Information Technology Co, Ltd. and is part of PlayStation’s China Hero Program. It is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC, with store pages already live on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei – Official Gameplay Trailer
Much like Black Myth: Wukong, Phantom Blade Zero, and GeniGods: Nezha, this is a martial arts-driven action role-playing game. Where it differs is its setting. A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei takes place during the Ming Dynasty, between 1368 and 1644, a period filled with unrest and political collapse. It shares this era with Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, giving it a grounded and tense backdrop.

Players control a simple boatman whose life changes after a sudden incident. He is forced to enter the Jinyiwei, the elite Imperial Guards, as an undercover agent working for the black market. While carrying out official missions, he must also complete secret tasks behind the scenes.
The story slowly builds towards a larger conspiracy. A special deduction ability allows players to predict outcomes, question suspects, and identify the real culprit quickly.
Exploration and combat are equally important. Players can sneak through areas, run across walls, jump between rooftops, and fight enemies as a roaming knight-errant. The goal is to capture the rivalries, bonds, and conflicts of the martial arts world.

There is no release window yet, but this is one worth keeping an eye on.
