Sometimes the internet moves faster than a patch can.
Lords of the Fallen 2‘s release window appears to have been accidentally revealed by a developer working at CI Games. Lead systems designer Dan Regan, whose credits include Gears Tactics and the original Lords of the Fallen, recently updated his portfolio page to mention that the sequel is “expected to release in August 2026.”
The post that wasn’t meant to be seen
The slip was spotted via a March 31 post on the Lords of the Fallen subreddit, where eagle-eyed fans noticed Regan had updated his bio to reference his work on the sequel.

The original text read: “I look forward to discussing it more here once the game has released; Lords of the Fallen 2 is expected to release in August 2026.”
It didn’t stay up long. The line has since been quietly edited to remove the release window entirely, now reading simply: “I look forward to discussing it more here once the game has released!”
Hexworks and CI Games have yet to officially confirm a release date, so this should be treated as unconfirmed for now. That said, the swift edit does suggest the information wasn’t meant to go public yet.

If August 2026 holds, Soulslike fans won’t have long to wait, and with any luck, the sequel will build meaningfully on what came before.
