Wuthering Waves is officially heading to Xbox Game Pass this July, with the news confirmed during the Xbox Partner Preview. There’s no exact date yet, but the window alone is enough to get players watching closely.
Developed by Kuro Games, the free-to-play RPG first launched on PC and mobile back in 2024. Now, it’s making the jump to Xbox, opening the door for a much bigger audience. And yes, it will be available through Xbox Game Pass, even though it’s already free-to-play.

If you’ve played anything like Genshin Impact, you’ll feel familiar here, but Wuthering Waves leans harder into fast, skill-based combat. That’s where it stands out.

The game already pulled in over 30 million downloads in its first year. That’s not small. Add Xbox players into the mix, and that number is only going up.
There’s also the story side. After early beta feedback, a large part of the narrative was rewritten. It shows the team is willing to adapt, which matters for a live game like this.

Right now, you can still jump in on PC via the Epic Games Store. But come July, Wuthering Waves on Xbox Game Pass might be the easiest way yet to try it, and that could seriously boost its player base.
