Grand Theft Auto VI is back in the spotlight, even without a new trailer. Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that more GTA VI marketing is coming in summer 2026, while Grand Theft Auto V has crossed another massive sales milestone.

During the company’s third-quarter financial call, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, said fans can expect more “marketing beats” for GTA VI in summer 2026. That alone is notable. Zelnick rarely comments on marketing plans this far out. He also reaffirmed that the game is still set to launch on November 19, 2026.

Zelnick said he feels “great” about the release. He has previously stated that his confidence in avoiding delays was “very, very high”. Take-Two’s latest projections continue to support a November launch, though anything can still change.

While GTA VI waits in the wings, Grand Theft Auto V continues to dominate. The game has now sold over 225 million copies worldwide. That is almost half of the entire Grand Theft Auto series’ lifetime sales, which now stand at 465 million units.

Financially, Take-Two Interactive reported $1.76 billion in net bookings, beating expectations. GTA Online revenue was also up by 27%.

However, Rockstar Games remains under scrutiny. The studio is facing ongoing union disputes following recent layoffs in the UK and Canada. The legal battle is still unresolved.
