Amazon’s God of War TV series continues to pick up speed, and it has now added another important name to its cast. Warm Bodies star Teresa Palmer has been cast as Sif, the Norse goddess and wife of Thor.
The news was first reported by Deadline and lands just days after Ryan Hurst was confirmed as Kratos. Hurst previously voiced Thor in God of War Ragnarök, which adds an interesting layer to Amazon’s adaptation.
Filming is expected to begin around March 2026. If that schedule stays on track, more casting announcements should arrive very soon.

Sif’s arrival hints at a broader Norse God of War storyline
Palmer’s casting gives us a clearer picture of where the story is heading. It was already confirmed that the series would skip Kratos’ Greek-era past and jump straight into the Norse saga.
With Sif now part of the show, it seems clear that Amazon is pulling from both God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök. Sif plays a limited on-screen role in Ragnarök, so her inclusion suggests the series will expand on characters and moments that were only lightly explored in the games.

The show is being led by Ronald D. Moore, after PlayStation Productions scrapped the original version due to creative differences. The opening episodes will be directed by Frederick E.O. Toye, best known for his work on Shōgun.
With casting filling out fast, a first proper look at the series may not be far off.
