Towerborne, the looter brawler from Stoic and published by Xbox Game Studios, is officially leaving Early Access. The full 1.0 launch is set for 26 February 2026.

Alongside Xbox platforms and PC, the game is also coming to PlayStation 5. This marks the first time Towerborne will be available outside the Xbox ecosystem.

One of the biggest changes with the full release is the pricing model. The game is moving away from free-to-play and becoming a paid title. The standard edition will cost $24.99 (£19.99), while the deluxe edition will be priced at $29.99 (£23.99).

There is some good news to balance that shift. Towerborne will no longer require an always-online connection. Players will be able to buy the game once and play it offline.

The 1.0 update also brings major gameplay changes. The story has been expanded with a full narrative, side quests, and a clear main villain. The Bounty Board has been overhauled, and the difficulty system has been reworked, including a new Brutal mode.

Progress from Early Access will carry over, though the developers suggest starting fresh. Towerborne remains available in Early Access on Xbox Game Pass, with Founder’s Packs still on Steam.
