If you caught The Game Awards live from Los Angeles, you probably saw Lords of the Fallen 2 storm the stage with a fresh trailer, and it absolutely delivered. CI Games is pushing the series forward once again, and this sequel to the 2023 reboot (which was itself a reboot of the 2014 original) already looks heavier, darker, and far more ambitious.

The new look focuses on the game’s core character split, showing quick cuts of intense combat and grim, atmospheric scenes set to a pounding soundtrack. Even from this first glimpse, Lords of the Fallen 2 feels like it’s leaning harder into its Soulslike identity, but with a style that’s clearly its own.
A sequel shaped by the community
If you played Lords of the Fallen (2023), you’ll remember how wild its world-shifting mechanics were, flipping between realms, fighting terrifying bosses, and later on, enjoying surprisingly impressive co-op thanks to the huge 2.0 update. Earlier this year, CI Games pushed that even further with version 2.5, tightening the experience and showing they were willing to rebuild from the ground up.
Now the studio is ready for the next step. This new trailer sets the tone for where the sequel is heading: sharper combat, bigger ideas, and a world that seems ready to chew players up all over again. It’s visceral, stylish, and honestly, a bit terrifying in the best way.

Lords of the Fallen 2 is set to launch in 2026, and if this early showing is anything to go by, it might just be the most confident entry the series has ever had.
