A new look at Exodus is almost here, and the wait has been long enough. Archetype Entertainment has confirmed that its next trailer will debut during The Game Awards 2025, giving fans a fresh update on one of the most talked-about sci-fi shooters in years. The studio, built by former Mass Effect leads, is aiming for a 2026 release, and this new story-focused trailer should help set the tone for what is coming.
A closer look at what Exodus offers
Exodus was first revealed at The Game Awards 2023, and it turned heads straight away. The game puts you in the role of a Traveller, a group able to jump through time within the Omega Centauri star cluster. It also features Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, adding even more weight to its high-budget world. Only small pieces of content have dropped in the past year, but everything shown so far has looked sharp, detailed, and full of ambition.

The last major trailer came out almost a year ago. It showed intense combat and fast movement across strange planets. With a new Mass Effect still far off, Exodus has become the next big hope for fans of deep, character-driven sci-fi.

With The Game Awards now close, there is a chance we might see a release date or at least a clear window. 2026 is already shaping up to be a huge year with Grand Theft Auto 6 and Marvel’s Wolverine. Even so, Exodus looks strong enough to make its own space. We will know more on 11 December.
