The full list of nominees for The Game Awards 2025 is finally here. Geoff Keighley’s show has been running for over a decade now, and it remains one of the biggest events in the industry. It celebrates the best releases of the year and gives us a look at where games are heading next. With so many major launches in 2025, people were expecting tight competition. Now that the nominations are out, we can see exactly what impressed the judges.
Every category in The Game Awards 2025 is voted on by a panel made up of outlets from around the world. Their votes decide most of the winners. We can still have our say on the site, although only one award is fully fan-voted. That is Player’s Voice, and its nominations will be announced later. Last year, Astro Bot took Game of the Year, while Metaphor: ReFantazio and Balatro picked up several awards.
