Just when players thought Elden Ring: Nightreign had gone quiet, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco surprised everyone with a new DLC announcement. Revealed during State of Play Japan, The Forsaken Hollows expansion is set to release on 4 December 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox.
Elden Ring: Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows reveal trailer
This new chapter adds two playable Nightfarers, the Scholar and the Undertaker. The Scholar masters arcane power and gains tactical advantages by observing the battlefield, while the Undertaker mixes raw strength and faith to crush enemies. It’s not much to go on yet, but it’s enough to get fans speculating about new builds and playstyles.

A new descent into Limveld
The expansion takes players deep into The Great Hollow, a vast, cursed pit beneath Limveld. It’s described as a place filled with ancient ruins, sacred towers, and glowing crystals that drain life from anyone who dares venture too close. Sounds like classic FromSoftware horror, and we’re all here for it. Two new bosses are also waiting in the depths, though the studio is keeping them a mystery for now.

The Forsaken Hollows will be priced at $15 (around £12). If you already own the Deluxe Edition of Nightreign, you’ll get it automatically when it launches in December.
