Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially crossed five million copies sold, and Sandfall Interactive is celebrating with a free major update.
Creative Director Guillaume Broche called the response “nothing short of incredible,” thanking fans for their support, fan art, music covers, and even Baguette cosplays. He said the upcoming update is a way to give back to the community, and it’s a big one.

A new Expedition 33 journey begins
The update adds a brand-new playable area, late-game boss battles, and new costumes for every party member. It’ll also expand localisation to include Czech, Turkish, Vietnamese, and Latin American Spanish, bringing the total supported languages to 19.
Since launch, Expedition 33 has been on a roll, selling half a million copies on day one and over a million in just three. The soundtrack by Lorien Testard has also blown up, topping charts worldwide with over 333 million streams.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Game Pass. The update doesn’t have a date yet, but if the team’s past work is anything to go by, it’ll be worth the wait.
