Replaced the 2.5D pixel-art cyberpunk platformer from Sad Cat Studios, now has a release window. Game director Yura Zhdanovich confirmed the game will finally arrive on PC and Xbox in spring 2026, saying the team is “confident” this time.

Originally announced in 2021, Replaced was meant to launch in 2022. But development was heavily disrupted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which directly affected the Belarus-based team. Combined with the usual challenges of production, the project slipped into years of delay.

In a new update shared via IGN, Zhdanovich looked back at the journey so far, showing how far the game has progressed since its early prototypes. He admitted the wait has been longer than expected, apologising to fans, but stressed the studio’s commitment to delivering “a truly special experience.”

The team says production is nearly finished, and a final trailer will debut later this year. That’s when the exact release date will also be revealed.
