NetEase Games has revealed a brand-new character trailer for Destiny: Rising, showcasing the deadly precision and relentless style of Gwynn, one of the hero characters joining the game when it launches worldwide on 28th August for iOS and Android.

The trailer highlights Gwynn’s aggressive combat philosophy, with her role as a close-range specialist making her one of the most formidable additions to the roster. Built for players who thrive in high-pressure, face-to-face encounters, Gwynn’s kit emphasises survivability and sustained damage. By minimising her need for support, she offers a powerful option for resource-heavy missions or solo play, where her bold tactics can turn the tide of battle.
Destiny: Rising is already making waves before launch, with pre-registrations surpassing 10 million players worldwide. To celebrate the milestone, NetEase confirmed that all players will receive The Exotic ornament as a day-one reward when they jump into the game later this month.
Developed and published by NetEase Games under official licence from Bungie, Destiny: Rising is set in an alternate timeline of the Destiny universe, following events in the post-Dark Age era. The game blends fast-paced RPG shooting with a shared world, diverse character-driven stories, and multiple game modes, ranging from familiar favourites for long-time Destiny fans to entirely new formats designed to expand the franchise’s universe.
