Snail and Finish Line Games are bringing Robots at Midnight to PlayStation 5 on 28 August. The vibrant action RPG first landed on Xbox and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store back on 19 June.

The game swaps the usual dark Soulslike vibe for a more colourful, retro-futuristic world. Daniel Posner, co-founder of Finish Line Games, said;

We love Soulslike action, but wanted a combat-heavy experience without the doom and gloom.

You play as Zoe, waking from 20 years in cryo-sleep on the ruined planet Yob. Her father is missing after a mysterious event called The Blackout, and gangs of corrupted robots now roam the world.

Combat revolves around the MITT, an old piece of space tech turned survival tool. It lets you launch off enemies, glide through the air, and smash through bots with momentum-based movement.

The game offers two modes: Hero Mode for a more forgiving, story-focused run, and Master Mode for intense, high-stakes fights.

As you explore Yob, you’ll uncover hidden lore, lost tech, and the truth behind the planet’s downfall. Just make sure you’re home before midnight.
