Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is coming in the summer of 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Thunderful Gothenburg, this sequel expands on the Gothic fairy-tale universe of Lost in Random, blending action, roguelike mechanics, and a heavy dose of dice-driven chaos.

If you’re on PC, you can try the demo now on Steam. Xbox players will get access tomorrow, February 14, but there’s no word yet on PlayStation or Switch demos.

A dark fairy tale with roguelike twists

In Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, you play as Aleksandra, once known as The Queen, who—along with her companion Fortune—has been captured by Mare the Knight and imprisoned in the Black Die. To escape, you’ll have to battle through a gauntlet of randomly generated arenas, facing enemies, giant board-game challenges, and tricky choices along the way.

The game leans heavily into its roguelike elements, offering over 100 relics with card-based abilities that can be combined for powerful synergies. You’ll also have four unique weapons to choose from as you explore four distinct, procedurally generated worlds. With more than 30 enemy types and formidable bosses, expect plenty of tough encounters.
