Nekki has unveiled a new trailer and screenshots for its upcoming single-player action game, SPINE. The fresh preview focuses on dynamic camerawork and an exciting spray paint mechanic, promising a unique experience for players.

Gameplay and camera highlights

In SPINE, the action doesn’t pause for cinematic cutscenes. Instead, the game uses what Nekki calls the “Intellectual Camera System.” This system ensures players enjoy the best angles of the action without losing control. The camera choices take inspiration from popular action movies, with nods to John Wick Chapter 4 and Old Boy.

The trailer also introduces the spray paint mechanic, where players use graffiti as part of their journey. This adds a creative element to the game, blending rebellion and style in a cyberpunk world.

About SPINE

This game puts you in the shoes of Redline, a rebellious street artist. Alongside her AI combat implant, Spine, Redline challenges the AI-controlled Tensor Corporation. The story is rich with drama and set in a visually striking cyberpunk city, where shiny skyscrapers contrast with gritty back alleys.

Combat in SPINE feels like something out of an action film. The game mixes gunplay and close combat, allowing players to create their own fighting style. Every fight is carefully choreographed to feel fresh and cinematic.
