Battle Shapers, a single-player first-person shooter with roguelite gameplay, is now fully released and available on PC through Steam. The game costs $24.99, but players can enjoy a 30% launch discount until 18 December. Players who own Sifu or En Garde on Steam can also get extra savings through special bundles.
The game, made by Metric Empire, is Steam Deck verified, and a free demo is available for anyone who wants to try it first. Battle Shapers had an Early Access launch on 3 October 2023.
What is Battle Shapers about?
In Battle Shapers, players take on the role of Ada, a Shaper robot trying to save the futuristic city of New Elysium. The city has been taken over by Overlords and their army of corrupted robots. Players will fight through different levels, collecting powerful weapons and upgrades to become stronger. The goal is to defeat the Overlords and steal their Shaper Cores, which give Ada new powers.
The game offers:
- 28 weapons (including special versions with unique effects).
- 52 modifiers to change how weapons and gear work.
- 24 abilities for combat and movement.
- Four Shaper Cores, which give Ada new looks and powers.
As players explore the city, they can experiment with different setups to find powerful combinations that suit their playstyle.
New features in the full-release
The 1.0 update, called the Phantom Code, adds lots of new content. A big highlight is the Endgame Difficulty System. This feature lets players adjust the difficulty with Fragment Effects and Access Levels. Completing these challenges unlocks rewards and the game’s true ending.
During Early Access, the developers kept improving the game with regular updates. These changes were based on feedback from the growing Battle Shapers community. The final version is packed with exciting content for both new and experienced players.
With its vibrant worlds, unique gameplay, and regular updates, Battle Shapers promises hours of fun for fans of action-packed roguelite games.
