Corsair has just released the MP700 ELITE series, a new line of super-fast PCIe 5.0 M.2 solid-state drives (SSDs). These drives offer powerful storage speeds and reliability, making them a great choice for anyone wanting to improve their computer’s performance without breaking the bank.
Blazing fast speeds
The MP700 ELITE drives provide very high speeds for reading and writing data. With read speeds up to 10,000 MB/sec and write speeds up to 8,500 MB/sec, these SSDs can load programs, games, and files in record time. The boost comes from the PCIe 5.0 x4 controller, which handles data much faster than older SSD technologies.
Improved gaming and everyday performance
Thanks to Corsair’s choice of High-Density 3D TLC NAND memory, the MP700 ELITE series combines speed with durability. It can also work with Microsoft DirectStorage, a feature that helps load games faster by communicating directly with the graphics card. This feature improves loading times and makes gaming smoother, especially in new games that support DirectStorage.
Compact design for desktop and laptops
The MP700 ELITE SSDs come in a compact M.2 2280 size, meaning they fit easily into most computers. They are available with or without a heatsink. For desktop users, the heatsink helps keep the SSD cool, while laptop users can choose the model without the heatsink for easier compatibility with their system’s cooling.
The MP700 ELITE series is also backwards compatible with PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 platforms, so it works on a range of older systems too. However, to get the highest speeds, a PCIe 5.0 system, like Intel’s or AMD’s 800-series platforms, is recommended.
Extra features for peace of mind
Corsair is providing a five-year warranty with the MP700 ELITE, showing their confidence in the drive’s reliability. Plus, with Corsair’s SSD Toolbox software, users can manage the drive’s settings, updates, and health.
