The Sandbox, a leading decentralised gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, announced today that Rodolphe Recca has joined the organisation as Lead Product Owner and Creative Director. An outspoken, accomplished veteran in the games industry since 1997, Rodolphe brings a distinguished career as Lead UI, Game Director and Chief Project Game Designer in an array of pertinent companies including Ubisoft, Beenox-Activision, THQ, Delphine Software, Carapace and Behaviour.
We’re thrilled to announce Rodolphe Recca is joining The Sandbox to lead the vision of two of our core products: our no-code Game Maker and the game client for players. Rodolphe is a true gaming veteran with a rich background in a variety of brands and game genres. His work has been primed several times, with a more recent award on Far Cry 5. We have no doubts he is the right guy to take The Sandbox to the level of expectations creators and game studios need to build fun & engaging experiences in the Metaverse.

The Sandbox is a unique virtual world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences using NFTs. These NFTs come in the form of SAND, ASSETs, and LAND. SAND is the currency used within The Sandbox which can be used to purchase ASSETs. ASSETs, are tokens serving as creation elements in The Sandbox Game Maker and are used on LAND, the digital real estate in this metaverse. These components of The Sandbox work in concert to allow players to create digital assets in the form of NFTs, upload them to the marketplace and integrate them into games using the #nocode Game Maker.
