The God Slayer brings a bold Eastern steampunk world to life in its first gameplay reveal

The God Slayer is the newest Eastern-inspired steampunk RPG from Pathea Games, and the studio has shared its first gameplay trailer. It’s powered by Unreal Engine 5 and offers a look at a world built on elemental combat, shifting alliances, and steam-driven tech.

You play as an Elemancer whose family was killed by the Celestials during the God Fall. Your path is simple but heavy: master your powers, protect your people, and hunt down those responsible. Every element can shape the fight. Fire burns wood, water kills fire, boiling water creates steam, and earth shields against attacks. How you chain these reactions is left completely to you.

A city shaped by steam and conflict

The story unfolds in the capital of the Zhou Kingdom, a city set where two massive rivers meet the Eastern Sea. It’s at the peak of its steam age, filled with airships, monorails, steamboats, and clunky metal vehicles. But technology is only part of the struggle. The city is split between factions, each chasing its own interests. To survive, you’ll need deals, favours, and the occasional well-placed bribe.

The trailer looks rough in places, but that only adds to its honesty. It shows real gameplay and hints at how deeply you can interact with the world.

There’s no release window yet, but we’ll follow every update.
