It seems that the popular app Terrarium TV is shutting up shop. Known for giving thousands of users free access to movies and TV shows from around the globe, Terrarium TV has been a thorn in the sides of the authorities who are constantly on the warpath against copyright infringement.
But it seems that maybe pressure from authorities has finally brought down the app which allows users to stream content over the internet or download episode and films to local sources to watch at a later date.
And the source of its closure? Well, it comes from the app itself, who in their latest update has posted what will be a very sad message for some.
The message from Terrarium TV reads:
New Version Found : 9.9.9
Version : 9.9.9
Dear all,It has always been a great pleasure to work on this project. However, it is time to say goodbye. I am going to shut down Terrarium TV, forever.
I know this day will come eventually. I know it would be hard to let go. But it is really time for me to move on to other projects.
Thank you for all your support through the years. Thanks to all Terrarium TV supporters and communities. Thank you, Nic, and all the people around the world who care about this project.
Please note you will not be able to open the Terrarium TV app after the end of September as the app will close itself automatically. Please DO NOT try to click the Update button because it will not download any new version of the app.
Thank you and farewell.
Best regards,

Whilst it may seem that this is a victory for the legal system, we won’t be surprised if another app pops up to take its place. There are already plenty of other services around, with sites like VPN Check listing some of the best IPTV services you can find. So whilst they may have won the battle, the war is far from over.
