A new 22-minute video for Phantom Blade Zero just dropped. It comes from YouTuber s1mple s1mple and was recorded at S-PARTY 2025. The footage shows what seems to be the first area of the game. It includes early enemies and a full look at the combat system.
Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG. It’s built in Unreal Engine 5. The game takes inspiration from Devil May Cry and Sekiro. It’s not a Souls-like, despite what some players first thought. S-Game has confirmed that clearly.
Combat looks fast and smooth. The attacks flow well, and the animations are sharp. It doesn’t seem as punishing as most Soulslikes either. Damage from enemies is fair and not over the top. If you like action games that focus on speed and style, this one might be for you.

Phantom Blade Zero runs solid on PC
Performance also looks solid. The video shows no stutters. That’s rare for a UE5 game. One thing to note: some far-off enemies animate at 30FPS. It’s noticeable. Hopefully, the PC version will have an option for full 60FPS animations.
Phantom Blade Zero is coming to PC. That was confirmed in February 2024. It will be released on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Store pages aren’t live yet.
In March 2025, NVIDIA confirmed support for DLSS 4. It’s not clear yet if MFG will also be supported. We’ll have to wait and see.
There’s no release date yet. A past trailer suggested 2025. But a delay into 2026 is possible.
So far, the game looks promising. Combat is flashy. Visuals are strong. And it might run well, too. This could be one of the few UE5 games that perform on PC.
