The Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower is a map-revealing location in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Skyview Towers allow Link to survey his surroundings and sometimes grant access to previously inaccessible Sky Islands – which contain a wealth of treasures and new challenges alike. By the end of this guide, you’ll know where to find the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, how to get into it, and what it rewards you with.
Where is the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower?
The Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower is, unsurprisingly, in the Eldin Canyon region to the northeast of Central Hyrule/Lookout Landing. Like all Skyview Towers, it’s hard to miss from a distance, especially by night. It’s not a particularly perilous journey – not like adventuring to Death Mountain used to be – but there may be some troublesome packs of enemies about, so be sure to fuse some solid weapons.
Upon approaching the Skyview Tower you’ll find the doors closed and a somewhat annoyed Hylian standing outside.
How to get into the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower
So, the doors on the ground floor are closed. But as the frustrated man outside explains, the ‘lid’ at the top of the tower was blown off and is still lying a couple of feet away. This means that you can’t just march in, and unfortunately, it’s not as simple as using your Recall power to ride the lid back to the top. Nope. You’re going to have to climb.
It’s as simple as that. Just hop on and start making your way up. I will note here that it may be slightly challenging with Link’s original stamina wheel – even grabbing one upgrade will make this much more comfortable – but still very doable. There are only two places where you can stop and recover stamina, and with the base amount that makes this a tight climb.
Once you’ve reached the top, admire the view for a second and dive into the Skyview Tower. Remember to use your paraglider to break your fall! At the bottom, it’s as simple as using the terminal, which will unlock the ground floor door and finally satisfy the frustrated Hylian.
Now you’re free to use the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower as you, please. Use it to launch Link into the air and you’ll reveal the Eldin Canyon section of the map, which will certainly help you on your way to Death Mountain.
Completing this challenge will reveal the map, unlock a new fast travel point, and grant you access to the South Eldin Sky Archipelago, a small series of Sky Islands that hold a few secrets of their own – including the interesting Kadaunar Shrine.
Congratulations – you’ve now completed yet another one of Link’s many trials. Pat yourself on the back and carry on!
