Remedy has finally locked in a release date for its first-ever multiplayer game, and yeah—it’s soon. FBC: Firebreak lands on June 17 for PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 5, and Xbox, coming in at £32.99 ($39.99 / €39.99). Even better? It’ll be a day-one drop on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. That’s a bold move, and it might just pay off.

This one’s a three-player co-op FPS, FBC: Firebreak, is set in the same twisted Federal Bureau of Control universe we saw in Control. So yes—expect the weird, the paranormal, and the “wait, did that wall just move?” vibes. Only this time, you and your squadmates are jumping into containment breaches together, armed to the teeth and ready to clean up supernatural messes.

FBC: Firebreak includes the full co-op experience, but there’s also a Deluxe Edition if you fancy a little more flair.

Here’s what’s in the Deluxe Edition (£39.99 / $49.99 / €49.99):

If you’re already grabbing the base FBC, you won’t miss out—upgrading later only costs £7.00 ($10 / €10). That’s a fair trade for a pile of aesthetic customisations if you’re into tweaking every last detail of your loadout.

Post-launch content? Sorted.

Remedy also laid out their roadmap a bit—expect two new Jobs (missions) dropping later in 2025, with more rolling updates into 2026. And the best part? All of it will be free. Monetisation stays strictly cosmetic, so your wallet’s safe from surprise DLC traps.

What’s under the hood?

FBC: Firebreak runs on the studio’s in-house Northlight Engine, previously used in Control and Alan Wake 2. But this time, they’ve retooled it for multiplayer and broader PC support. That means more stable performance across mid-tier rigs. Still, if you’re running top-end hardware, the game will also support NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and even path tracing for next-level visuals.

With FBC: Firebreak, Remedy is stepping into new territory with the same flavour of stylish chaos they’re known for. June 17 isn’t far off, and with Game Pass and PS Plus day-one access, jumping in will be easy. Whether you’re coordinating voice lines or flexing that scorched double-barrel, it’s shaping up to be one wild summer.
