ASUS Dominates UK Gaming Monitor Market in 2020

ASUS was the top gaming monitor brand in the UK in 2020, according to a recent study released by third-party research firm Context Data. ASUS 100 Hz gaming monitors and above garnered an impressive 18.1% market share and achieved an astounding 160% year-on-year growth in sales volume. The increase in demand stemmed from more people working and learning from home, as well as the introduction of new graphics cards which led some gamers to upgrade their monitors.

ASUS continually strives to be a frontrunner in innovative technologies. In 2012, the ROG VG278HE was the world’s first mainstream 144 Hz gaming monitor, and in 2020 the ROG Swift PG259QN was the first 360 Hz esports gaming monitor.

For 2021, ASUS is again pushing the boundaries. With an eye on the latest gaming consoles, they have recently revealed the world’s first HDMI 2.1 gaming monitors capable of delivering 4K visuals at 120 Hz. Available in 28-, 32-, and 43-inch models, these HDMI 2.1 monitors feature variable refresh rate (VRR) technology and Auto Latency mode to unlock the full potential of any gaming console. The models will be available for purchase in the first half of 2021.
